Discovering the Île de Porquerolles
Porquerolles, also known as the Île de Porquerolles, is an island in the south of France. It’s the largest and most westerly of the Îles d'Hyères. With a population of only a few hundred people, this lush island is lined with both cliffs and beaches. In preserving its beauty, no cars are allowed on the island, except for a few service vehicles. Visitors can stay at the local accommodations and simply bike or walk around the island to explore. Home to one of the best beaches in Europe, Porquerolles’s quiet beaches are worth the trek.
