Spotlight on the UK

Lately I have been booking a ton of UK trips for my clients, and for good reason! There’s so much to explore and the lack of language barrier is a definite plus for those new to international travel.

London

In London, you can take in the shows of the London Theatre including West End musicals, hit plays, and new productions. Take the family and see The Lion King, Wicked, Hamilton or the showstopper Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Have a laugh in Mrs. Doubtfire, a new comedy musical or feel the drama of Les Miserables. Just browsing through the current lineup of shows has me wanting to book a plane ticket to London!

Scotland

Travel in Scotland is wildly popular lately with my clients. The custom FIT itineraries I’ve created include cities like Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh is well-known for its rich history, festivals, and architecture. The Edinburgh Castle is a must-see and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In Glasgow, take in the famous and diverse art scene, architecture and music. It’s also well-known for its shopping, second best only to London. As Scotland's largest city, there’s so much you can do.

For golf lovers, this next one is a must-visit. Scotland is known as the Home of Golf and a stop at St. Andrews Links is an item on many peoples’ bucket lists. St. Andrews is also known for its historic university, medieval streets and gorgeous traditional buildings. Be sure to also include a stop at St. Andrews Cathedral.

Visit the Scottish Highlands and its famous Loch Ness waters. At the Loch Ness Centre, you can walk through 500 million years of history & mysteries, including the mythical creature Nessie.

In Stirling, Scotland, my clients love visiting the Stirling Castle. You may have seen this famous architecture in Game of Thrones among other titles. Generations of Scottish monarchs have enlarged, adapted and embellished Stirling Castle; It is great symbol of Scottish independence and national pride.

When should you go?

Let’s talk UK in the fall. If this late summer heat has you craving cooler temps and sweater weather, you will love the chilly vibes that is the UK in the shoulder season. Did you know that the UK is home to tons of Oktoberfest celebrations? Layer up and go explore all that the UK has to offer this fall. I can help you with those last minute plans.

Can’t swing a late fall trip? Let’s plan for next Summer Break when you can bring the kiddos with you. Pro tip: avoid the summer heat in the U.S. by traveling across the pond next summer. Enjoy dry weather, cooler temps, and lush green landscapes that you’ll dream about for years to come.

Sounds dreamy. How do we make this happen?
